One Health Day 2026

The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, under the aegis of the National One Health Mission, organised a Youth Engagement Activity to celebrate One Health Day 2026 on 3 November 2026. The initiative aimed to raise awareness and encourage active youth participation in advancing the One Health approach. Through an interactive quiz and a slogan competition, the activity provided a platform for students and young people to explore the interconnectedness of human, animal, plant and environmental health, express their perspectives creatively and engage with the importance of One Health in building a healthier and more sustainable future. It also sought to nurture a generation of informed and engaged One Health champions who can take this understanding beyond academic institutions and into their communities.

The initiative was organised in collaboration with IIT Delhi and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), leveraging their academic and institutional networks to broaden youth outreach and participation. The partnership sought to make One Health more accessible to young people through interactive learning and creative engagement, while encouraging them to translate awareness into action at the community level. By connecting academic institutions with grassroots networks, the collaboration aims to foster a wider network of youth champions who can carry forward the One Health message and contribute to its adoption in everyday practices and communities.
