Arnav Bhasin

Policy Fellow

Arnav is a Policy Fellow with the Office of Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India - Policy Analytics and Insights Unit. His interests lie in exploring matters relating to technology, society and geopolitics. In his current role, he is primarily engaged in international technology engagements for India and other technology policy issues of importance. He is also engaged in policy analysis relating to quantum and other emerging technologies.
Prior to this, he was at Carnegie India, where he analysed and produced output on emerging issues in the technology policy landscape. He primarily worked on topics with implications for society, ranging from AI Safety and Governance to Biotech and Cybersecurity.
Arnav has a deep interest in technology, given his background as a computer science engineer. On the technology side, he used to work at Accenture as an EWM consultant, where he solved critical and high-impact supply chain problems for his clients. He has also completed the postgraduate program in public policy, design and management from the Indian School of Public Policy. He has also worked at Ericsson, IFFCO and CDAC in different capacities. He now utilises his technology background and policy education to better understand and help shape technology policies in his current role.
