Dr. B Chagun Basha

Dr. B. Chagun Basha is the Chief Policy Adviser at the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, where he leads the Policy Analytics and Insights Unit (PAIU). 

He is engaged in efforts related to standardization of science, technology and innovation (STI) indicators, technology foresight, shaping governance frameworks and international engagement strategies for emerging technologies, and advancing deep tech innovation. He plays a critical role in strengthening institutional mechanisms for science-policy interfaces. Dr. Basha also contributes to several regional and global task forces, actively shaping the evolving field of STI diplomacy -both as a domain of scholarship and a tool of statecraft.
