Dr S K Vasudeva holds a Doctorate from Punjabi University, Patiala.
Joined DRDO in 1970 and was trained in Armaments at the Institute of Armament Technology.
In 1971, Dr Vasudeva was posted to Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory, Chandigarh.
In 1976, completed Post Doctoral Research in the area of explosive compounds, at Technical University, Warsaw, under the guidance of a renowned explosive expert, Professor T Urbanski (was selected by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi, for National Scholarship to study abroad)
In 1980, completed Warhead Technology Training Course from , Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB ) west Germany.
Also, worked at Swedish Detonics Research Laboratory, Stockholm with renowned detonics expert Prof. Persson, in the field of high-pressure physics.
Underwent several Management Development Programmes conducted by Institute of Technology Management, Mussoorie and Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad
In 2001, Dr Vasudeva was chosen to lead various Strategic Programmes of National importance for Defence preparedness and was appointed as Director, System Planning and Implementation Centre, Delhi
In 2011, retired as Chief Controller Strategic System
In 2013, joined as Scientific Consultant (Defence Technologies) in the O/o PSA to Government of India.
He has several Research Publications in the field of armament Technology and Technical Reports/Departmental Publications to his credit.
He has three Patents to his credit in the field of explosive technology
He is a visiting Fellow at Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS)
Currently, Dr Vasudeva is PSA fellow at the office of Principal Scientific Adviser to Govt. of India
