Dr. Nida Faruqui is a policy professional and an academician with over a decade of experience spanning government advisory, industry, and higher education. She currently serves as Program Lead-Strategic Alliances at the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, where she contributes to national-level science, technology, and innovation initiatives. Prior to this, she was Deputy Director at the Confederation of Indian Industry, leading policy research and stakeholder engagement across key sectors, especially Rural Development.
Dr. Faruqui has an extensive academic background, having served as Assistant Professor at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and Faculty Member at Jamia Millia Islamia. She has also held an international visiting faculty position in Germany, collaborating with youth welfare institutions. Her work bridges policy and academia, with a focus on inclusive development, governance, and capacity building. She brings a multidisciplinary perspective to addressing complex public policy challenges.
