Sonu Kumari

Sonu Kumari is a Programme Associate at the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, where she supports strategic alliances, stakeholder engagement, and science-policy initiatives. With a background in environmental science and over six years of experience across government, industry, and research institutions, she has worked extensively on sustainability, policy analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

Previously, at NASSCOM, Sonu contributed to policy research, stakeholder mapping, and development of insights onemerging sectors including AI and sustainability. Her earlier work at EMPRI (Government of Karnataka) focused onenvironmental research, sustainability audits, and development of frameworks such as the Green Index Portal forevaluating public spending.

She has also been associated with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), contributing to research in environmental technologies and resource management.
