CIM-Pitamber, a high-yield turmeric (Curcuma longa) clone developed through clonal breeding by CSIR–CIMAP, produces 60–65 tonnes of rhizomes per hectare with 12.5% curcuminoids in 180–190 days. Cultivated through rhizomes, it is rich in curcumin and exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and wound-healing properties for medicinal and culinary applications.
