Leathers and products from fish skin

CSIR–CLRI has developed a sustainable leather processing technology that converts marine and inland fish skins—previously discarded as by-products—into high-quality exotic leather. This innovation introduces eco-friendly tanning and finishing methods, creating durable, visually distinct materials suitable for fashion and upholstery industries. Training and technical support are provided for implementation.
