CSIR CSMCRI Bhavnagar has developed an integrated, low-cost seaweed-based biofertilizer technology to support sustainable agriculture. Already commercialised by licensees such as M/s Aquagri Processing Pvt. Ltd., the process enables production of ~60 tons of liquid biofertilizer per hectare from 100 tons of fresh biomass and additional by-products like 2.5–4.5 tons of κ-carrageenan. Extensive technical support and demonstrations are provided.
