The National Institute of Plant Genome Research has developed ADVIKA, an improved desi chickpea variety with enhanced drought tolerance and 11% higher yield under stress. Derived using molecular breeding of superior ABCC3 alleles, ADVIKA ensures productivity, food security, and climate resilience. Technical support is provided for cultivation, seed multiplication, and adoption.
