overview

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, has supported the development of an amniotic membrane-based bio-scaffold for advanced wound healing applications. Developed under the Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine Laboratory group at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), this innovation uses caprine amniotic membrane (cAM) and mesenchymal stem cell–derived conditioned media to promote tissue regeneration, reduce inflammation, and accelerate recovery.
