IMH 224 is a medium-maturing (85–90 days) field corn hybrid developed for the Kharif season, yielding 7.23 t/ha. Recommended for Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal, it features conico-cylindrical ears with semi-dent orange kernels. The hybrid is moderately resistant to major insect pests and shows moderate resistance to few blight. Field-level demonstrations have confirmed its performance and adaptability.
