Jammu Monarda (Lemon Beebalm) – Var. IIIM(J)MC-02, developed by CSIR–IIIM in 1999, is an annual aromatic plant cultivated for its high-thymol essential oil (55–75%). It grows well in well-drained sandy loam soil and matures within six months. Institutional distillation support is available for oil extraction and processing.
