Three-Tier Open Brackishwater Cage Farming Model for Sustainable Asian Seabass Production

ICAR-CIBA has developed a unique three-tier seabass cage farming system encompassing nursery rearing, pre-grow out, and grow-out phases. This low-volume, intensive approach requires minimal or no land area, making it suitable for small-scale coastal fisher communities. The system has the potential to enhance income, promote sustainable aquaculture, and contribute to India’s Blue Revolution and blue economy initiatives.
