Land Shaping technology : A Farm pond

overview

This land shaping technology converts about 20% of farmland into a 3 m deep farm pond for rainwater harvesting. Dug-out soil creates high land for vegetables and fruits, medium land for rice, and low land for low water-requiring crops. Stored rainwater provides irrigation, enhancing year-round farm productivity. Credit support is required for initial land excavation.
