HRMN-99 : Low chilling apple variety

overview

The HRMN 99 apple variety, developed from a seedling grown in warm conditions in Paniyala, Bilaspur, was evaluated by IARI Shimla. It produces large, sweet, and soft fruits (84–178 g) with high TSS (11–14.2). Early blooming and harvesting avoid heavy rainfall, making it suitable for plains and tropical areas (up to 45°C). Over 6 lakh plants distributed across 23 states, boosting commercial cultivation.
