G-Vilas Pasand: Improved Guava Variety

overview

This guava variety, selected from a local cultivar and evaluated by ICAR-CISH, produces large (250–300 g), sweet, aromatic fruits with golden yellow skin and soft white flesh. It fruits year-round, offers a high economic yield (50–60 kg/5-year-old plant), and has a shelf life of 5–6 days. Over 29,000 saplings were distributed across 10 states.
