Microsoft invites grant proposal submissions for AI for Humanitarian Action. Important highlights of the program:
The program is part of the Microsoft AI for Good program, a $165 million initiative to help unlock the power of data and AI to address some of the biggest challenges facing society today.
AI for Humanitarian Action provides funding for organizations developing AI solutions that address challenges in Human Rights, Needs of Women and Children, Disaster Response, and Refugees, and Displaced People.
The program will provide Funding, Data Science, and Azure support including up to 300 hours of engagement by data science experts to the selected grant applications.
This grant application is for Institutions, NGOs, research, academic, and governmental organizations.
Private sector organizations can also apply if a nonprofit/humanitarian partner is directly engaged in the proposed project.
For this round of project proposals, applications will be accepted from across the world but they are particularly interested in projects located in Africa, consortium-based projects, or those that support digital skilling for women and children.
