Inviting proposals for cost-effective technology for web & mobile based tools for mapping water supply network on GIS network in rural areas with provision of grievances redressal by the Ministry of Jal Shakti

The Office of Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India is facilitating a call for "cost-effective technology for web & mobile based tools for mapping water supply network on GIS network in rural areas with the provision of grievances redressal” under Jal Jeevan Mission by Ministry of Jal Shakti.

Jal Jeevan Mission was launched with the vision of providing drinking water in adequate quantity of prescribed quality on regular and long-term basis to every rural household. A cost-effective technology is required for providing web/mobile-based tool for mapping of water supply network through creating a geospatial database of all major structures of the Water supply system with the provision of grievance redressal and IoT system for alert monitoring.

Expected Outcomes:
To create a comprehensive "Water Information System" by mapping assets of the water supply network system for effective operation and maintenance of water service delivery in Rural areas.
