Call for Proposal for Capabilities of Research Institutes/Companies in Bioremediation (Publication date: 21 Apr, 2022) (Results)

In partnership with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, one of our industry partners has announced a call for capabilities of research institutes/companies in Bioremediation – to explore joint research and joint implementation opportunities.

Bioremediation research institutes/companies research, develop and manufacture proprietary solutions for living organisms, like microbes and bacteria, in the removal of contaminants, pollutants, and toxins from soil, water, and other environments. Standardization of microbial cultures, increasing the efficacy and growth of microbes and their enzymes, development of cost-effective bioremediation solutions, industrial-scale production of bacterial solutions, and their application in the treatment of polluted environments or management of waste are major activities of bioremediation research institutes/companies. Common application areas are developing dried microbial products for agriculture, oil spills, and waste management.

Eligibility requirements:

A panel of expert environmental microbiologists and molecular biologists of research institutes/companies utilizing a minimum of BSL-2 level lab facilities with anaerobic and aerobic bioreactors for large-scale production of microbial solutions. In addition, these organizations must also have the resources to procure different microbial strains and bioengineer them.
