The Office of Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India is facilitating Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) by Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) 

Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) is the flagship program of the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), which provides the right admixture of fuel & support to young startups & entrepreneurial individuals. BIG Fund acts as a catalyst to advance a promising bio business idea closer to eventual commercialization/ implementation in the form of technology licenses or creation of start-up companies or raising investments for the company. BIG is India's largest early-stage biotech funding program, providing a grant-in-aid up to INR 50 lakhs for 18 months. The BIG 22nd call has opened from 1st Jan 2023.
