Use NCBS's strength and expertise in cell biology, infection assays and plant biology to develop and perform high-throughput drug screens to identify novel chemical molecules that will be effective against SARS-Cov2 and have the potential for rapid development to clinics
Proposal aims to use two different approaches for drug discovery against SARS-Cov2:
1. High throughput screen of drug-like molecules in SARS-Cov2 infection assays
2. Screen a set of natural products for anti-Covid19 effects

IISc and Mynvax have jointly developed and patented a novel thermotolerant vaccine based on the RBD of the SARS-CoV-2 Spike Glycoprotein. The vaccine candidate has been shown to be tolerant to transient exposure to very high temperature ( 100°C) and can be stored at 37°C for over a month without losing its shape. It is now commonly referred to as the ‘warm vaccine’
