Dr. Sapna Poti

  • Dr. Sapna Poti is deputed to the Principal Scientific Advisor’s Office, Government of India from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras). 
  • Her primary role as a Programme Director is to promote Scientific R&D and Innovations for social impact and to address industry problems through Industry, Foundations, and Government channels. 
  • This includes engaging Science & Technology institutes and the entire startup ecosystem to meet National Missions & National priorities including COVID 19, doubling farmers income, make in India, water mission, waste management mission etc. 
  • Dr. Poti is a PhD from IIT Madras with a dissertation in Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP)and has around 26 years of experience in Industry, Consulting and Government. 
  • Her previous stints were with Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Tata Trusts and National Skill Development Corporation (under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship) in the social development and Government sector. 
  • Dr. Poti also has industry and consulting experience with ITC, Hewitt Associates, Deloitte, Toyota Kirloskar, Tatas and Crompton Greaves. 
  • Dr. Poti is a member of Niti Aayog’s Expert Group on ‘Skill Development for Mountain States’, Member of GIZ MSME committee and MESA’s advisory committees. 
  • She is also a member on the Board of studies of skill development and educational institutes. She has authored national and international journal papers. 



Ms. Aaditi Lele

  • Ms. Aaditi holds a Professional Science master’s degree (PSM) from Washington State University
  • Worked at the Technology transfer office of Washington State University, where She was involved in drafting and filing provisional patents, and working closely with the innovators from the university to help them commercialize their innovations
  • Currently, Ms. Aaditi is part of the Industry academia engagement group and is involved in assisting the activities to promote industry foundation multilaterals engagement



Mr. Bhanu Prabhakar

Member, Industry academia engagement group





  • Primary responsibilities entail supporting the various initiatives of the foundation and industry engagement team working on realizing Government of India’s vision of leveraging science, technology and innovation to create sustainable social impact 
  • Prior experience of working in global public health – including innovation for health – with a deep understanding of health policy and systems in India and South Africa 
  • Earlier employed as a Senior Director with Global Health Strategies (GHS) in South Africa and also worked as a consultant with the World Health Organization’s Department of Public Health, Innovation and Intellectual Property 
  • Successful track record of working with senior leaders in government, global health and drug discovery 
  • Holds a graduate degree in public management (cum laude) from SDA Bocconi School of Management, Universita Bocconi
