Problem Statement
Development of Linearizer for PA’s using EER (Envelope Elimination and Restoration) technique. Currently, Linearized power amplifiers that are highly efficient are hardly available in the market. There are many methods of linearizing power amplifiers. One of the methods which enhance their efficiency as well is the EER-Linearization method. Taking this as a challenge and making an attempt to linearize the PA this EER technique is aim of this project.
Objective of the project
This is a project for the development of an EER-linearizer to linearize power amplifiers. High-end modulations like QAM, OFDM, etc., demand linear Power Amplifiers. For ordinary PA’s to make them linear they have to be backed-off from their P1dB. With this technique of linearization, the PA is linearized by suppressing the IMD products at its output. Also, the PA becomes more efficient in terms of using DC power for its function. Thus Battery lasts longer which is highly desirable.
