  • Appointed as Senior Scientific Officer in the Indian Antarctic Program of the Department of Ocean Development In 1993, 
  • Nominated as the Indian representative to the international Antarctic treaty bodies like SCAR & COMNAP
  • Joined National Centre for Polar & Ocean Research as Program Manager (Science) in 1998
  • Joined as Scientist-F in the Department of Science & Technology, GOI in 2001
  • Appointed as the first Executive Director of the bi-national Indo-US Science and Technology Forum In 2004
  • Appointed as Adviser & Head of International Bilateral Cooperation Division, Department of Science & Technology in 2011
