🇪🇺 🇮🇳 Yesterday's EU-India Trade and Technology Council in Brussels was a landmark moment for our research and innovation partnership, having agreed to launch formal negotiations on India's association to Horizon Europe. Indian researchers and innovators could participate fully in the world's largest R&I programme from 2027. This has been a long time coming, and it will reinforce an already solid relationship 🔬 The Joint Statement of Trade and Technology Council highlights the first India-EU Innovation Hub, focused on EV charging technologies and testing, and a Deep-Tech Startup Partnership 🤝 that aims to open cross-border market access and commercialisation pathways for deep tech companies on both sides. I take this opportunity to thank Dr (Mrs.) Parvinder Maini, my co-chair of Working Group 2 of the Trade and Technology Council, for the great cooperation.
