At the VivaTech event held in Paris, France, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood highlighted India's AI Mission that aims to improve ease of living by deploying artificial intelligence across crucial sectors like agriculture, health, finance, and energy. He also highlighted the two major directions of India’s AI innovation ecosystem: building sovereign models and ensuring data availability for it. Prof. Sood emphasised on viewing AI sovereignty as a network of sector-specific tools connected by a unified layer rather than a single model. He also remarked on the strengthening India-France partnership anchored through successful 25-year research collaborations like Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR/CEFIPRA), among others.
