The Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, has setup, on the 7th of May, 2007, an Expert Committee on Impacts of Climate Change with Dr. R. Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India (PSA), as the Chairman and Dr. S.K. Sikka, Scientific Secretary to the PSA, as one of the members. The tenure of the Committee is 3 years and can be extended further, if required.
